Next 4 letters - e,f,g,h - Lyndell

Many thanks to all who made such positive comments. They were much appreciated.

If I had only known how much fun posting could be!
These are my next four letters in the series.
I can see that the next big challenge will be to combine them into one entity. Perhaps I should have thought of that first.

It is lovely to keep up with all the other postings. I have been impressed with all of the letters - amazing the diversity and individuality of them all.

Lettres de février - February letters - Callie

Bonjour,

Hello

Point de retard cette fois... ;)
Voici donc les deux lettres suivantes dans les alphabets colorés et "noir et blanc"...

I'm not late this time ... ;)
Here are two letters in the alphabet and colorful "black and white" ...

Bonne journée
Have a good day...

Just noticed that one of my letters is incomplete - too late now but I will fix later. A continuation of the free flowing style for the background and a mix of alphabets for each alphabet card.

I tried a waterproof drawing ink, Chin Chin, this weekend and it turned out to be anything but waterproof. Can anyone suggest an ink that is permanent/waterproof? I even sprayed my piece with a fixative and that didn't stop the ink from running. For the letters on the left I am using either Sharpie or Pigma Pens, gouache and a poster paint pen - watercolour for background colour.

Cheers! Violet

Heather's February Art Deco Letters

The Oscars have come and gone and we missed out again, despite fabulous performances by Aussie actors. My February letters are dedicated to Geoffrey Rush, Jacki Weaver and Nicole Kidman....each one a Hollywood star....the cinema would be poorer without them.

The make-as-you-go technique for this lot of letters is so much easier than assembly at the end. Thanks for all the complimentary blog comments. I'm amazed at the creative and wonderful letters everyone is producing.

Roll on

This is not the easiest of alphabets to photograph and my lighting was not good. Perhaps it is best to photograph it fresh in the morning instead of after doing the work into the late hours. Make a note Christine.

JGR Letters

Hi everyone, here are February's letters from my 'Black and White with a touch of blue texture' alphabet.
My focus for this alphabet is to be a bit more controlled than in my previous letters of 2010.
Yet, I am drawn to the spontaneous, random look that adds a unique feeling: as if it could never be duplicated exactly.
it's what I find most fascinating about the creative process-mine or anyone else's. Our work becomes something like a 'fingerprint' . . .
. . . each one 'speaks' in a different voice . . .
and if I could only speak one word-it would be 'TEXTURE.' Have a great day!

Here are the next four...

Elaine's February alphabet bits

I am continuing my ‘transparent’ alphabet on the ‘Mylar’ film, using my double ruling pen and FW drawing ink. The colour of the threads are slowly changing, moving this time from ochre through orange to red.

February Letters - Gemma Black

These letters were, like the others, fun to create.
I worked the little alphabet conversations with the acompanying agate folder (Montville, QLD 2009).

Lau's letters, d, e, f, g

I had another idea for the display of this alphabet.
It will be "black and white with a touch of recto/verso".
I thus make white letters on a black bottom, and black letters on a white bottom.
The whole will be presented on a black and white concertina.
And every letter will be visible on its reverse.
