Noela's letters for February

The Mayan alphabet, with the Latin equivalent in the bottom R hand corner.
I made the glyphs from copper wire then covered them with teabags and plenty of glue, then scumbled gold wax onto the highlights when dry.
They will hang together in a window so that light will filter through in daytime, and light will bounce off the gold scumbling at night.

  2. Hi N- the mayan letters are so intriguing as forms and shapes; then you see the little roman alphabet to remind you. I think the translucency is beautiful, but also like the night time view.
